The year began on 16 June 2024 with the Club’s 2nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Presidential Election at Insperon Infosys & Technology, Koteshor. Members gathered to elect new leadership and chart the course for the upcoming year. This meeting, attended by 37 members and lasting six hours, set the foundation for the club’s ambitious program calendar.

In August, the club hosted a Leo Gathering and Farewell event to celebrate members’ contributions and welcome new participants. Shortly after, the club opened membership registration to encourage wider participation and strengthen its team. The first board meeting, held at Koteshor Office, ensured proper planning for the year’s initiatives, while the first general meeting in late Bhadra gathered members to discuss ongoing and upcoming activities.

Education and awareness have always been a core focus of the club. Programs like The Readers Meet, held at Kalopul and Chuchhepati, encouraged youth engagement and promoted reading habits among students. These sessions allowed members to interact with students, exchange ideas, and foster a culture of learning.

Community service was a major highlight of 2024-2025. In September, members volunteered at Pashupatinath Temple, contributing eleven hours to assist in temple activities and serve visitors. Around the same time, the club participated in Constitution Day Candle Lighting at Tinkune, promoting civic awareness and respect for national heritage.

A notable achievement came during the First District Council Meeting in Butwal on 13 September 2024, where the club was honored with the Best Banner Award. This recognition reflected the club’s commitment to excellence and creativity in promoting its activities. The club also conducted multiple board and general meetings throughout the year to maintain efficient coordination and planning for all programs.

As the year moved towards its end, the club focused on healthcare and social welfare. In November, members organized the LEO Global Health Camp at Matatirtha Old Age Home, conducting health check-ups and awareness sessions for elderly residents. This initiative not only provided essential medical support but also reinforced the club’s dedication to community service.

Cultural and celebratory programs also formed an integral part of the club’s activities. Members celebrated the 67th International Leo Day and the National Topi/Poshak Day, fostering unity, pride, and social awareness.

One of the signature programs for 2024-2025 was the Fire Safety Awareness Training, conducted across several schools and colleges. This initiative educated students about fire safety, prevention techniques, and emergency response, making a significant impact on safety awareness in the community.

The club continued its humanitarian work with the Cloth Donation Programs in Tilganga and Pashupati Corridor, benefiting underprivileged families, and organized multiple volunteering programs at Pashupatinath Mandir. In February 2025, the club conducted a Free Health Check-Up Program and Free Drinking Water Distribution, ensuring that essential services reached those in need.

The year concluded with the Holi Celebration at Leo Budhanagar in March 2025, promoting joy, unity, and cultural engagement among members and the local community.

Throughout 2024-2025, the Leo Club of Kathmandu Janmabhumi successfully conducted 23 service programs, 5 general meetings, and 13 board meetings, totaling 41 impactful initiatives. Each program reflected the club’s mission to foster leadership, service, and awareness among young people while making a meaningful contribution to society.
